Albuquerque (2000 census): Population of voting age: 380,000

Yesterday's election-

Mayoral vote count:

Berry (R) 36,466
Chavez (D) 29,140
Romero (D) 14,458
Write In 149

Total voter turn out: 80,213

In other words, only about 20% of the electorate turned out to vote for the most important job in the city - and that's based on a 2000 population estimate. (Albuquerque has grown substantially since 2000). It's a sad reflection on our citizenry.

Someone at the University just put me on hold. The music I'm listening to? Deck the Halls...

AAARRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Bill and I use a joint calendar on Google to track our various outside activities. At work we use the dreaded GroupWise Calender system.

For email, I use Outlook 2007 at both home and work, and would prefer to use Outlook's calendar for my personal information; today I discovered I can sync our shared calendar with Outlook, so now I can keep personal appointments in Outlook, and know that Bill can view them through the Google calendar. Sweet! One less tool for me to worry about.
