I should know better
Aug. 4th, 2007 08:23 pmMy hubby called a while ago from Dallas. He's spending the night there with an old friend on the way back from Bosier. He asked if it had rained. No, said I, for the first time in seven days no rain! Well, about an hour later, the heavens opened! And the wind is howling around the house. Must be 40 to 50 mph, driving rain, and a spectacular (and loud) thunder and lightning display! It puts me in mind of the winter gales in England, though they typically feature 70mph winds.
And according to the weather channel (which I have to check when
billeyler is not in town) says that the storm is mostly over the mesa to our west - we are just getting the trailing edge of this one.
Well, I was thinking of venturing out to the bar tonight, but now I think I'll just curl up on the couch with a bowl of soy ice cream, and watch Design Star instead!
