As The World (economy) Turns...
It seems a global recession, coupled with the emergent strength of China's economy has changed the dynamics of world manufacturing. Manufacturers look for a low cost country (LCC) for their manufacturing operations; that's why there are few manufacturing jobs left in the US. Until recently, China has been the leading LCC, with India in second place. But now, they have dropped to number 3.
Even China is moving manufacturing to the new LCC; Mexico. A wave of new manufacturing jobs is set to emerge in Mexican plants, with orders from the US and China increasing rapidly. I only hope Mexico will make good use of their new position in the world-order. At some point the list will change again, and the jobs and money will follow the LCC list.
